Our big box fort is by far our longest project to date. Not because it took us a long time to finish it but because every time I try to complete the project, the little ones would inhabit the fort making it impossible for me to finish it, but at least I got to finish painting it white.
The kids would rush inside with their pillows, blankets, snacks, carpet and spend the whole afternoon playing together. On other days, they would force me inside and lock me in.
Our big box fort features a medieval door with padlock for security, 2 windows for ventilation and another opening at the back for our mail.
